Hello friends. As I promised here are some more photos and a small tutorial for Nicoletta’s crown.

 

 

 

Tutorial Blythe crown.

1. Print out a crown template.

2. Print it out in 3 different sizes. Cut around the templates.

3. Try them on your Blythe doll’s head and pick the one you like best.

4. Transfer your template twice onto felt and once onto a plastic sleeve.

5. On one felt template, place your large beads in the positions you like and embroider around them with seed beads. I used a cameo, Swarovski beads and miyuki seed beads. Don’t forget to leave one edge free for placing a piece of Velcro.

6. Cut around your beadwork, taking care not to cut any threads. Cut out the second felt piece.

7. Cut around the plastic sheet making it about 2mm around smaller. Cut off 1.5cm from each side.

8. Glue the two felt pieces together placing the plastic piece between them.

9. Bring the two edges together making a circle and keep in place with pegs. Leave a few hours and then take off the pegs.

10. Embroider around the two pieces joining them with seed beads.

11. Sew on the two edges Velcro or studs or a button. If you prefer you can sew the two edges together.

 

12. You can leave the crown as it is or you can add some coral work at the bottom edge to make it more suitable for a mermaid.
